Mila's three-day Guangzhou trip kicks off in the trendy Dongshankou neighborhood, known for its youthful vibe and stylish shops. The day includes a chaotic sushi conveyor belt experience where she devours 18 plates for just 28 euros, praising the freshness and value. Shopping adventures lead her to Beijing Road's bustling night scene and a spontaneous Adidas jacket purchase she initially resisted.

Day two starts with traditional Guangzhou breakfast—rice noodle wraps and congee at a busy local spot—followed by marathon shopping at the APM Mall (not the intended Shashing Temple). Mila spends six hours nonstop, later hauling accessories, a wool scarf, and a yellow sweater she regrets due to material trickery. Dinner at a clay pot spot near Beijing Lu fuels a candid room tour of her purchases.

The final day features a lazy cable car ride up Baiyun Mountain, a fabricated history about an emperor building the mountain for his wife's 50th birthday, and an exhilarating zip line descent. The trip ends with a walk through Xintiandi (a revitalized cultural area), a disappointing cold meal at a Michelin restaurant, and a farewell by the Canton Tower skyline. Mila apologizes for limited food content due to lingering trauma from Bangkok food poisoning, promising better eating in Shanghai.

Mila's whirlwind 3-day Guangzhou adventure balances trendy neighborhood explorations with candid shopping missteps. From the bustling streets of Dongshankou to a foggy Baiyun Mountain cable car ride, she navigates local eats like a chaotic sushi conveyor belt and a disappointing Michelin meal. The vlog captures the thrill of discovering hidden gems—like a zip line atop the mountain—and the relatable regret of a hasty clothing haul.
Mila explores Guangzhou's trendy streets, shops till she drops, rides a foggy cable car, and tries local eats from sushi conveyor belts to a disappointing Michelin meal.

11:15 Explore the underground mall near Shashing Temple, but note it differs from wholesale malls like APM. Park Central nearby offers bigger brand stores.

cantonese foodshopping haulcity walkcable carconveyor belt sushi屋台グルメbaiyun mountainguangzhou travellocal breakfastWhat was the sushi like at the conveyor belt place?
The sushi was incredibly fresh, with perfect rice sweetness, acidity, and rich umami flavor. It's the freshest I've had for that price.
What happened with the yellow sweater you bought?
The one I saw in-store was much thicker, but when I got home and opened the package, the material was thinner. Always check the actual item before buying.
What was the Michelin restaurant experience like?
The service was slow and the food arrived lukewarm or cold, which was disappointing for a Michelin place. Cheaper local spots were much better.
