Tim Laude kicks off his China adventure in a 1,600-year-old water town, marveling at the ancient architecture and the local lifestyle that once thrived there. The tour group moves on to a hurried lunch before heading to Hangzhou for a scenic river cruise. The weather is colder than expected, and Tim is visibly underdressed, shivering through the experience. A visit to the 'Happy House' turns out to be a restroom, much to his disappointment. The journey continues to a tea village for a traditional ceremony, where green tea is used to demonstrate its detoxifying properties, leading to an unexpected bulk purchase of health supplements. Later, exploring the Venice-like water town of Wuzhen, Tim finds unique souvenirs like a carved comb and herbal sachets. The vlog then shifts to Shanghai, where Tim takes in the iconic skyline from a river cruise, visits a secret bar called Speak Low, and indulges in white rabbit ice cream and a high-end Starbucks roastery. The trip's highlight comes in Xi'an: the Terracotta Warriors. Despite the massive crowds on a national holiday, Tim is awestruck by the 8,000 statues in Pit 1. He also haggles for a warrior figurine and watches a spectacular, rotating-seat performance. The final evening features a visit to Xi'an's ancient city wall and a memorable midnight barbecue with Tsingtao beer, ending with a futuristic hotel robot delivery.
Tim Laude's China trip was a whirlwind of ancient towns, unexpected cold snaps, and jaw-dropping sights. From a 1,600-year-old water town to the mind-boggling scale of 8,000 Terracotta Warriors, every moment was packed with discovery. He navigated chilly weather, tea ceremonies, and chaotic crowds, all while hunting for the perfect bargain and midnight barbecue. This vlog captures the raw, unfiltered thrill of experiencing China's rich history and modern energy in one unforgettable adventure.

There were thousands of them, and it was amazing to see them lined up in the pit. It's only been discovered 50 years ago and they're still excavating.
How was the tea ceremony in the village?
The tea lady showed us how to smell the leaves first and then drink the second cup which tastes the best. They also did a cool experiment proving that green tea helps with toxins.
What was the most surprising thing you found in China?
Probably the hotel robot that delivered my water bottles to the room. It called the elevator by itself and everything! Also, the midnight barbecue was seriously the best meal.
