Luke Hyde starts in Taipei, Taiwan, and walks up to Elephant Peak, which the local hiker also calls Elephant Mountain. The trail begins near Taipei 101 and climbs steep stairs. Luke is unsure at first that he is on the right route, then continues upward. He says the walk is humid and he is sweating heavily, and he notes that there are many mosquitoes. At the peak, local hiker Mr. Zhou Chao-peng points out large and small rock formations that resemble elephants, including eyes, ears and a nose; he also shows a natural shape described as resembling Taiwan. Luke says the shapes depend on the viewer's imagination. The hike continues with Mr. Zhou, who says he hikes there every day from Monday to Friday. Luke describes the climb as challenging and steep and pauses to rest. From the top he sees a 365-degree view of Taipei, including Taipei 101, the Keelung River and Songshan Airport. On the way down he notes that there are many stairs but they are well tiled and paved. He finishes the hike and thanks Mr. Zhou for showing him around.
