Definitely the new paved roads and the town square! They weren't there five years ago.

The kids were amazing! Teaching environmental science with games and outdoor activities was so much fun.
What was the hardest part of your teaching experience?
Probably the language barrier. Communicating with the older generation who didn't speak Mandarin was a challenge.
What's your advice for other travelers who want to experience rural China?
Be open-minded, respectful, and try to learn a few basic Mandarin phrases. You'll have an amazing time!
