This video documents James And Keli's visit to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. Initially hesitant due to concerns about animals in captivity, they were won over by the facility's conservation efforts. The video beautifully captures the pandas' daily lives – eating bamboo, playfully interacting, and napping.
The couple spent three hours exploring the expansive park, encountering pandas in various enclosures, from large outdoor habitats designed to mimic their natural environment to smaller, climate-controlled indoor spaces. They observed adult pandas exhibiting a range of behaviors, from leisurely eating to climbing trees and even taking naps.
The visit included a heartwarming encounter with yearling pandas, whose playful energy and interactions with each other and their caretaker stood in contrast to the more relaxed demeanor of the adults. The couple found the experience both educational and emotionally rewarding, highlighting the importance of conservation efforts.
Beyond the pandas, the video offers glimpses of the park's landscaping, designed to evoke a natural forest setting. While they missed seeing the red pandas due to vaccinations, James And Keli still found the overall experience incredibly worthwhile, recommending a visit to anyone traveling to Chengdu. The video concludes with a teaser for their upcoming food tour in Chengdu.
