It was amazing! They were so welcoming and made us feel right at home, even with the language barrier. It was a really cozy and loving environment.
What was the most memorable part of your experience?
Probably the traditional music lesson. It was such an honor to try playing those instruments and to see a professional performance.
What did you learn about Chinese family dynamics?
It's really common for young children to live with their grandparents for a time. It's a big difference from our culture, but it's a really beautiful system that helps families support each other.
What were the dumplings like?
They were delicious! A little chewy, but the meat was so juicy and flavorful.
