Most people say mornings are better for seeing more active pandas, but Jie and I aren't morning people, so we went in the afternoon. It was less crowded but we saw fewer active pandas.
How much did the panda base visit cost?
Tickets were $15 each, but we got discounts, so it was cheaper. Plus transport was only about $4 USD.
What's the food like in Chengdu?
There's lots of great food! We had noodles for about $2 USD a bowl, and the street food scene is amazing. I love the BBQ and pork dishes here.
What's Chengdu like as a city?
It's super chill, modern, clean and safe. It's a nice place to just live in for a bit, not too touristy except for the main square.
What was the most surprising thing about Chengdu?
Probably the scale of the residential buildings. There are so many skyscrapers full of people!
