The coffee shops were everywhere, and the coffee was some of the best I've ever had!
What was the blown sugar like?
It was really cool! It's basically blown sugar, and I blew through its little tail to make it the shape it was. It tasted delicious, but it was expensive!
What were the donkey burgers like?
The donkey meat was seasoned and had a salty, almost cured flavor, like jerky but more tender. The bread was delicious!
What was the doornail meat pie like?
It was so hot! But it was delicious. It had onions and beef, and the bun was chewy and crispy. It was one of the best things I ate all day!
What was the chicken wing rice bun like?
It was very hot! The texture was strange, kind of plump and squishy, like Rice-A-Roni stuffed inside a chicken leg. It was good, but not my favorite.
What was the overall experience of eating in Beijing?
It was amazing! The portions were huge, the price point was amazing, and the food was delicious. I loved the local places and the friendly people.
